Для расчета амортизационных отчислений (Depreciation Expense) используются различные методы начисления износа (depreciation methods). При этом необходимо знать стоимость (cost), предполагаемый срок эксплуатации (estimated useful life) и ликвидационную стоимость (residual value) активов depreciation and other non-cash expensesамортизационные и другие расходы, не требующие денежных выплат, - используются при расчете движения денежных средств (cash flow)

9 GOODWILL (“гудвил”; условная стоимость репутации и деловых связей фирмы)
Нематериальные/неосязаемые активы ( lntanglble assets), обычно выражающиеся в превышении стоимости бизнеса над стоимостью его материальных/осязаемых активов (tangible assets). Это превышение в значительной мере связано с фактом более высоких доходов бизнеса, чем прибыль, которую можно получить в результате инвестирования суммы, равной стоимости только материальных/осязаемых активов. “Гудвил”-актив, который продается при продаже фирмы и в таком качестве иногда отражается в ее счетах. Однако в соответствии с Законом о компании 1981 г. компании с ограниченной ответственностью, приобретшие таким образом неосязаемые активы, должны списать их с балансовых счетов в течение периода, не превышающего срок их экономической полезности.
